I have not been proudly owned by "Oramor" Violet for four months, and I have come to the conclusion that she is just a little person wearing a fur-coat!! She is extremely intelligent and inquisitive; and is a great source of enjoyment and entertainment for my whole family. She has quirky little habits, which has earned her the nickname "Chief Inspector". She has her rituals (and is displeased if you do not include her in them) - for example--she trots up the hallway after my brother. He yells out "Puss! Shower time!" She perches on the vanity basin while he shaves, and waits patiently on the bathmat while he finishes showering. Similarly, I let her sleep in my bed (sorry--HER bed). Every morning I open my eyes to see her standing on my chest with her little nose about 2 inches from mine. As soon as I look at her she says "MEOW" which I interpret to mean "feed me". She trots along at my feet, just like you would expect a dog too! When we have visitors, she hears the cars pull up, then she runs to the front to have a look out the window, and she is always waiting at the front door with a "Meow" to greet any visitors. She is a real character. She has favourite fluffy toys which she carts around in her mouth all the time. When I have taken her to the Vets for her boosters, she has put on an incredible display and they are all in love with her!! She has a game we call "Dead Cat" - We hold her like a baby in our arms and scratch her back and she instantly goes limp--she just loves it!! When we come home in the afternoon she races out and as soon as we say hello to her she drops on her back for us to scratch her. She has SO MUCH personality!!! It's just incredible. She plays a game with herself while we watch the TV--she hides a toy under the rug, and then she gets it out; and then she does it all over again. So many people comment on how beautiful and 'sweet; she is. She's very funny! Not a day would go by where she doesn't do something that completely amused us. I would thoroughly recommend one of Sue's cats.. I keep in touch with Sue and ask her advice when I need it; and sometimes I just ring her to tell her how Violet is. She genuinely cares about the kittens that she breeds, and she is always willing and happy to give advice and to hear about their progress into their adult life. Violet has given us nothing but joy, cuddles and many laughs, and no doubt she will continue to do so over the years. Melissa.
