Dear Sue,
We think it is time to update you of the development of Simba and Honey. They are still the joy of our lives and full of energy. As you can see from the attached pics, Honey has her favourite TV programme "Meerkat Manor" and is forever reaching out at the screen as if wanting to play with the meerkats - every week is the same! She is initially shy of strangers but it doesn't last long and soon her inquisitiveness overcomes her.
Simba is as lovable as ever and whenever it takes his fancy, he climbs up onto my chest whilst I am watching TV or on the computer, climbs up high and begins to make bread, kneading my chest, shoulders, neck and often reaching up to my face! He will not accept being positioned lower down towards my lap! . I fold my arms and when he is finished the massage, he rests, as seen in the other picture. Simba is very friendly to everyone and looks heavy and meaty compared to the svelte Honey; Simba likes to eat and we are having to watch his weight - he is obedient when we tell him to stop eating the food of others!
They both continue to sleep with Angel, our ailing Russian Blue, particularly Honey who seems to have taken a particular liking to Angel. As far as out black Persian (Goldie) is concerned, Simba and Honey seem to have brought her out of her shell a bit and it is now becoming a regular thing for the three of them to have their 'funny five minutes', chasing each other up and down the flat at 3:30 in the morning. More than once, books are pulled from the bookshelf with a crash and bleary-eyed, I go to investigate, only to find all three cats a picture of innocence as I replace the books at 4 am - I don't hear a peep from them again until my alarm goes off! I wonder what the neighbours think of the early morning commotion; we are sure they can hear the galloping six pairs of feet from below as they tear up and down the flat!
So, the joy of owning Honey and Simba is never-ending. Thanks again
Regards
