"Oramor" Simba--Chocolate Burmese

"Oramor" Honey Seal Point Siamese

Dear Sue,
I hope you and your family are doing well and enjoying the spring as Hong Kong stars to get cooler, although it is cold today.

'Oramor" Simba has just turned 2 years old and next month "Oramor" Honey follows with her second birthday. Both are doing very well and I have attached some photos, which have been taken recently.

I think I have mentioned in my last e-mail that Simba often joins me on the settee or at the computer, lets out a little squeak and climbs onto my chest where I cradle, cuddle and kiss him while he gives me a shoulder, neck and face massage, during which he is often seen dribbling. I am honoured, as this could last for up to 5 minutes and all the time he is contentedly purring.
Often when I get home from work he jumps onto the bed and crouches down, signalling me that he wants a game. His favourite toy is a feathered wand which he chases round and round on the bed before I toss it down the corridor with him in hot pursuit. He seems to love skidding on our smooth wooden floor often crashing against a door or wall. He then brings the wand back for another go.
Simba has such a gentle nature, inquisitive and ever so lovable. Whenever we take out our step-ladder it will be him that scales it first, to the top where he just sits obviously wanting to get into the upper cupboards in our apartment. The other day he was spoiled as I allowed him to supervise me when I was in the false ceiling fixing some lights - he was in his little heaven and will at the drop of a hat want to do it again!

Honey is simply a little sweetie … very bright too. It does not look as if she'll be a big cat, she is very slim, elegant and is able to make herself as small as a kitten when all her 5 corners are tucked in, yet when I hold her she can be stretched to almost 3 ft long!!! She has a lovely long tail and is adored by all - so beautiful.
Honey's favourite toy is "Da Bird", a long wand with a number of feathers on the end of a string. Waving it around, the feather end twirls like a bird and it is HER toy. High jumps and antics, mostly on the bed, will give her ample exercise and when she does catch the feathers, she can sometimes be heard to hiss at it, or growl on occasions. The Da Bird is not available for her to play with all the time - it is locked away in a cupboard. However, when we return home or even when friends visit, she will lead them to the cupboard and urge them to get her toy out!
Honey is also not shy about nipping you on the leg to attract your attention - often, when she wants to play and we are relaxing. Once we oblige, she is happy - no more nipping!
Honey sometimes joins us on the settee in the evening but this is not common - she is not a lap cat but perhaps when the weather gets colder she may. However, once w
e have retired, she is normally the first to climb under the sheets and makes straight for the space behind my knees and immediately settles in.

Simba likes his food but Honey is pickier, her favourite being fish. Both are very well behaved when we eat, never pestering us for some of 'our' food, which is good.
Both are doing well and are loved to bits.
Regards, Graham and Rita, Simba and Honey. 18/11/09
