Good Evening Sue, Well You'll be glad to know Desmo has settled in well, He and Tazz (our other cat) are not Fighting, she tolerates him, and he is fascinated with everything she does, but they are getting on better then we hoped, and time should only make things better. He is a bundle of energy, he only took a day or 2 to coax out from under the bed, talking to him and feeding him little tasty treats convinced him we were not going to hurt him. He plays hard and then crashes for a short snooze, and then he's off at full power again! (He has a strange fascination with our bedroom ceiling fan! He keeps leaping up at it and talking to it when it's on, he won't ever reach it as it's 8 foot above him, but he keeps trying) He is not afraid to let us know what he thinks of a situation, Lisa and I have never struck a Cat who loves to make as much noise as Desmo, He Talks, He mumbles and grumbles, He howls and yells, it's been an adjustment to get used to how much noise he makes, but we love it! (Tazz is almost silent by comparison) He has become my best friend very quickly and he loves it when I go into bed at 9:30 to watch a movie before bed, he curls up with me and purrs away, happy as Larry. He's a Cat with lot's of personality! He has, in a very short time, become a very close and valuable member of our Family (Although Tazz would argue that point!) We couldn't be happier with how the little guy is going. Just thought we'd let you know all is well, Desmo is Awesome! Kind regards, Mitch Keys, Cairns 13//8/08 Hello Sue, Lisa and I were watching TV after just having dinner, and Desmo decided to join us, mainly because he knows after dinner is playtime! Regards, Mitch & Lisa
Hello Sue, Wow, how time seems to fly by when your having fun! Desmo is going extremely well, He recently went in for Desexing and a complete check up at our local Vet, the 3 nurses on hand all fell in love with him. He's a bit of charmer this one! On my days off, He follows me around while I clean the house, he helps while I cook (he's my taste tester!) and he keeps trying to lead me to the bedroom so he can curl up against me and have a afternoon snooze. And if I won't have a snooze with him he sits on the window ledge-barking and chattering to the birds outside. He's currently running around the house from window to window keeping an eye on the Lawnmower man! But you will be glad to know he has settled in very well and become a very close member of the family, I've included a couple of photo's for you (although the second the camera comes out he tries to attack it! - Maybe he thinks I'm Paparazzi?!?) Photo: DSC01352: Desmo loves to lie on the floor with me a get a pat and a tickle under the neck. DSC01353: This photo is not upside down! He loves to be carried on his back, legs in the air, looking at the world upside down, You can never accuse this cat of being boring! He is a close friend, I had a minor medical scare a couple of months ago, and he knew I was not right, he jumped up on the bench and came up to my face meowing at me, he followed me around yelling at me, and when I returned from the hospital 2 hours later (all ok) he would not let me out of his sight and anytime I sat down or tried to move he was right there watching my every move. it took him a couple of days to settle down after that. I will swear to my dying day he knew I was in pain and he was upset/concerned! He sulks when I get dressed for work, and when I come home he bounces around and yell's the house down because it play time! He is my furry mate. a naughty child, and always stirring up trouble, causing mayhem and destruction! And Lisa and I would not have it any other way! :) Speak to you again soon, Mitch Keys, Cairns 10/2/09
