Hello Sue, Just thought I would drop you a line to give you an update on "Oramor" Desmo, our Siamese. He is going very well, and has grown up to be a very happy and healthy Cat, He runs around the house chatting to the birds outside or sits at the front window watching the kids play in the street. He's a bit of old sticky beak, he's gotta see what is going on with everyone on the Street, He just can't help himself, if there is any movement outside he stands up on his hind legs and shoves his head through the Louvers to get a closer look. And god helps us if the blinds are down, he sits there howling at us until we lift the blinds so he can see what is going on.
He is the star attraction when anyone comes to visit, he sits on the edge of the room watching everyone making sure that everyone is safe and then he comes out of his hiding place to be the center of attention, He shakes his bum and tail, he gets up on the back of everyone's chairs and gives them a complete sniff test and quick lick of the hair (Taste testing?) and then he is everyone's best friend for the rest of the night.
But he is still Daddy's boy, He sleeps next to me most of the night, I can't do anything in the house without my furry shadow coming in for a look to see what is going on.
I think he will be even closer to me when Lisa and I move in the next couple of Months, We have decided to move to Tasmania, So moving from a tropical Climate to the cold climate of Tasmania will certainly be a shock to his system. I don't think I will able to move or do anything without having to lift a Cat off the top of me first! Check all the blankets/Doonas a for Cat invasion before getting into bed. Might have to get him a Cat Jacket.
Sit still in this house for longer than 10 seconds and you will be invaded by a Cat!
(Might have to put that on the front door of our house in Tasmania)
He has become a very close friend, a play buddy for our older Cat Tazz, and he's always ready for a run around the house or a rough and tumble game which will involve some blood loss (Mine) Damn he has big paws and claws! But we wouldn't have it any other way. He's Awesome.
And when he goes in for his booster and annual check I just about have to fight the staff at the vet to get him back, he's a real little charmer! But he is happy, healthy and doing very well.
Cheers, Mitch and Lisa, Cairns, 1/6/10

Good morning Sue, I have taken a couple of pics of Desmo this morning before he went to bed for a few hours.
I have included a shot of him doing his usual morning routine of shoving his head between
the louvers to keep an eye on the kids on there way to school and then a shot him looking very tired and getting ready to curl up on the end of bed in the morning sun for a snooze.
(Early morning play sessions really take it out of a young cat!) Cheers, Mitch and Lisa 2/6/10

Hi Sue, Just a quick note to let you know how "Oramor" Tonka, blue point Siamese is going. Our first week has been amazing as I am sure you would be aware of. After picking him up we went to Woodgate as discussed. It was like having a newborn baby for the first night. He was very vocal around the house looking for his mother I would assume. I spent most of the night with him, bonding and talking to him. The next morning I went to catch up on some sleep and when I awoke we couldn't find him, we looked in every room, cupboard, nook and cranny and couldn't find him anywhere. I though oh no the children have opened the door and let him out. We spent the next few hours looking around the neighbourhood looking for him, some of the locals were even out looking for him and posted missing signs for us.
When we got home resigning ourselves that he had gotten out and ran off I sat down to think about what had happened and how. Well you guessed it he came out of his hidey hole and pronounced himself to be here. My goodness what an overwhelming feeling of joy swept over myself and Jacki. The rest of the week went to plan and we travelled home to Emerald on Monday. He has settled in well and has fitted in with the house better than I could have imagined.
We have introduced him to our other cat Skitz and they appear to be bonding fairly well. They are sharing themselves with me but I must say Tonka wasn't too happy to see Skitz on my lap the other night.
We will have many more photo's to come but I thought I had better let you know how we are going.  Thanks again for giving us such a wonderful kitten
