Well, the time is getting close. We're absolutely snowed under with kitty plates, a kitty collar and leash, kitty food of all varieties - the biscuits you recommended, mild cheese, some lovely chicken breasts, and the best mince.. Then there's the kitty litter, and last by  NO MEANS the least, the dreaded Cat Tree, which is going up any minute now, to be firmly bolted this time, instead of just tried out to have a look at. lock him in So . . . IT'S KITTY TIME. As I came home from Town today I was muttering to myself "this is the last time I go home from town without a Kitty in my life". I'm quite a lunatic, but it all leans towards loving animals, so I'm a GOOD lunatic.
Oh, we've had a thousand name changes, but the one that has stuck, and I love the sound of is "Bassy" - short for Sebastian.
Bassy the Burmese. Sounds OK to me, and I think it will stick, because Harry and I have been calling him Bassy when we talk of him. Only I KEEP saying "her". I can be forgiven, because I've had five Burmese girls (two from the same litter - "The Twins") and never yet a boy. I feel sick with anticipation, and I'm really, really excited. lol lol lol lol lol  OK - I'll see you tomorrow at 10am. Ohhh! !   9/3/10

Well, my Sue, Bassy has been home for exactly one hour now, he's had some water, a little chicken, been heartily licked by Molly the Staffie, who is no longer interested in him, and had a few tongue swipes from Dingo-type Emma, who has fallen in love with him. All my worrying was a waste, Bassy is now at the top of his "tree" dozing. LOL. He hasn't done a wee or poo yet, but he sort of knows where everything is - and will be shown many more times.
He was great in the car coming home - he let out two almighty yells - at different times, then I put my fingers through the cane and stroked his face, and he PURRED ! And that's the honest truth. Then fell asleep. I've never had it so easy with bringing a new animal home, I really haven't.  I'll forward photos, so you'll see that Bassy is not too bad here. He purrs a lot, looks round a lot, hissed at the dogs, but has given that up. I'm sure it'll start again, but right this moment the doze has become a coma-like sleep, and he looks very happy.
Thank you so very, very much for breeding such a beautiful kitten for me Sue.
He really is a laid-back boy - seemingly scared of nothing, which makes for much easier settling down.

Again, thank you, thank you, thank you. I am totally delighted with Bassy - he is indeed a "Silken Prince".
With love, and hugs, always, Leah xxxxx  10/3/10

Hello Sue,
You really do breed the BEST cats.
Bassy only has hissed a few times at the dogs, firstly when Emma swiped his face with a kiss, and then when they made him jump on his exploring session. I swear he already knows this house better than I do.
He went staight to his litter box after his dinner last night - no prompting at all. He was indifferent to food very first off, though had a good drink of water. This evening he has polished off some chicken, a tiny bit of mince, and half of one of my fingers lol.
This puss isn't going to be any trouble or, even more important, HE isn't going to be troubled - he has an ENORMOUS purr, and uses it lots. lol
I'm so glad that Elizabeth is as happy as I am with her kitten. No she isn't, no-one could be as happy as I am.
Again, thank you, thank you, thank you. With love and hugs, always, Leah xx  11/3/10
