Visitation Policy

Please note: Due to strict biosecurity measures endorsed by the guidelines of the respected providers listed below, we do not permit visitors or anyone outside Oramor to handle kittens prior to their first vaccination at 9.5 weeks of age for any reason.

This policy exists for the following evidence-based reasons:

  • Kittens have underdeveloped immune systems, making them especially vulnerable to infectious diseases in early life. (Small Door Veterinary) Small Door Veterinary

  • Kittens receive maternally-derived antibodies from their mother which help protect them from diseases early in life — however, these antibodies decline over the first weeks of life, leaving a window of vulnerability before vaccination takes effect. • We appreciate your understanding and look forward to introducing you to your kitten once they are safely vaccinated and protected.

Adopting An Oramor Burmese Kitten into Your Family

Bringing an Oramor kitten into your home can be one of the most joyful experiences.

Their playful antics, soft purrs, and curious nature can light up any room.

If you are considering adding a furry friend to your family, an Oramor Burmese or Oramor Siamese kitten might just be the perfect choice.

Why Choose a Kitten?

Kittens are full of energy and curiosity. They are often more adaptable than older cats, making them a great choice for families. Here are some reasons why adopting a kitten can be a wonderful decision:

  • Playfulness: Kittens love to play. They will chase after toys, pounce on your feet, and explore every nook and cranny of your home. Their playful nature can provide endless entertainment for both kids and adults.

  • Bonding Opportunities: Kittens are often more open to forming bonds with their new families. They are eager to learn and explore, which can create a strong connection between you and your new pet.

  • Training Potential: Kittens are like sponges. They can learn quickly and adapt to your household routines. This makes it easier to train them on litter box use and basic commands.

  • Health Benefits: Studies show that having a pet can reduce stress and anxiety. The presence of a playful kitten can bring joy and comfort to your home.

  • Companionship: Kittens can be great companions. They provide love and affection, which can be especially beneficial for children and seniors.

Preparing Your Home for an Oramor Burmese Kitten

Before bringing a kitten home, it is essential to prepare your space. Here are some steps to ensure a smooth transition:

  1. Create a Safe Space: Designate a quiet area in your home where your kitten can feel safe. This could be a cozy corner with a bed, toys, and a litter box.

  2. Kitten-Proof Your Home: Kittens are naturally curious. Make sure to remove any hazards, such as small objects they could swallow, toxic plants, or electrical cords they might chew on.

  3. Gather Supplies: Before your kitten arrives, gather the necessary supplies. You will need:

  4. A litter box and litter

  5. Food and water dishes

  6. Kitten food

  7. Toys for playtime

  8. Bedding for kitten

  9. A scratching post

  10. Introduce Family Members: If you have other pets, introduce them slowly. This will help everyone adjust to the new addition. Supervise their interactions until you are confident they can coexist peacefully.

  11. Plan for Vet Visits: Schedule a visit to the veterinarian for a health check-up. Vaccinations and spaying or neutering are important for your kitten's health.

The First Few Days

The first few days with your new kitten are crucial for building trust and comfort. Here are some tips to help your kitten settle in:

  • Give Them Time: Allow your kitten to explore their new environment at their own pace. They may hide at first, which is normal.

  • Establish a Routine: Kittens thrive on routine. Feed them at the same times each day and create a consistent playtime schedule.
